Welcome to the Aeros U13 MD tryouts!
I would invite and encourage all 2009 players to attend. If you still need to sign up, just email the registrar to make arrangements. We are fortunate to have a talented group trying out this season and every player will have an equal opportunity to make the team.
Our tryout schedule is:
- October 3rd, 6:00pm to 7:50pm Carling Pad A
- October 5th, 9:00pm to 9:50pm Kinsmen Pad A
- October 6th, 6:30pm to 7:20pm Kinsmen Pad B
Please continue to watch the team calendar in case of any changes. I will post the roster of all players attending the tryout prior to our first skate.
The session on October 6th is an exhibition game vs West; this will be the final tryout. Due to covid restrictions, not all players will attend the game. I will post the roster for the game that morning.
I have added a second exhibition game against West on October 8th (7pm Bostwick). This game will take place after the roster has been finalized.
While I am looking forward to getting the process started, this can also be a stressful time for players and parents. I will be reminding the players to keep it simple, try their best, and have fun. I will be relying on assessments performed by independent evaluators to select the team.
No cuts will be made until after the session on Wednesday, October 6th, at which point the final roster will be posted to this page. I will post the final roster as early as possible on the evening of the 6th.
Please ensure players arrive dressed as we can only enter the arena 15 minutes prior to the ice time to finish dressing and put on skates.
Tryout Jerseys
- Each player will be assigned a jersey when they arrive at the first skate and will wear this jersey for the duration of tryouts
- Players must take their jersey home with them after each session and bring it to wear for all tryout sessions
- Jerseys will be collected after the tryout on October 6th
- Please plan to arrive at the arena at least 30 mins before the first tryout Sunday to allow time to receive your jersey assignment before you enter
COVID Protocols
-2 spectators per player allowed (siblings, parents, grandparents etc.)
- Anyone over 12 entering to spectate must provide proof of vaccination upon entering the arena to the arena staff
- All eligible Oakridge hockey participants (players & coaches 12 and over) are required to upload their proof of vaccination prior to the first skate. The link for the upload can be found on the main Aeros page
- Per the Alliance: Eligible Players who have not submitted their proof of vaccination will not be allowed on the ice
