I am very much looking forward to coaching this year's U13 Minor
Development (MD) team. The primary goals for the season will be to compete,
continue to develop hockey skills and knowledge, and have fun.
I would encourage all 2009 players to attend the MD tryouts. Tryouts will commence the week of September 24th
and are expected to last one week. I am planning two exhibition games as part
of the tryouts. Please watch this site and the team calendar for details regarding
dates, times, and locations. I will also post a list of all players that are
registered for tryouts prior to our first skate.
Selection of the team will be based on assessments conducted by independent evaluators. Players will be assessed based on skill, effort, and attitude.
For players trying out for other levels, please be aware that you must still register for Oakridge tryouts if you plan to tryout for Oakridge MD in the event of being unsuccessful at the earlier tryouts. Players that are registered for Oakridge MD tryouts that are successful at making another team will have their Oakridge fees refunded. Please contact the Oakridge Registrar ([email protected]) if there are any questions or issues.
Please watch the Oakridge website Main Page (https://oakridgeaeroshockey.ca) for up to date information regarding immunization requirements for players. If there is a need to refund your registration due to vaccination status, please contact the registrar.
