Tryout Update!!
Hello parents and players,
Below you will find the layout for the upcoming tryouts along with expectations and requirements.
Rowan's Law (concussion protocol):
Before any player is eligible to touch the ice they are required to review Rowan's Law (Details found on the Oakridge Aeros main page). Once the content has been reviewed you are asked to complete an acknowledgement form (both the parent and player must sign) and either bring that form to the tryout or submit it to the address listed on the home page.
Tryout Format:
Tryout #1: On ice fundamentals (30-45 min) with a red and white scrimmage to complete the session
Tryout #2: Skill stations timing for speed and puck control (There will be goalie specific stations incorporated)
Tryout #3: Exhibition game (Aylmer Flames)
Tryout #4: Exhibition game (Belmont Rangers)
What I'm looking for in a player:
- Hard working
- Never quit attitude
- Great teammate
- Respectful
- Coachable
- Helpful
- Sportsmanship
I am also looking for strong fundamentals (Skating, Puck Control, Hockey sense, Battle, Etc..)
