I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer and filling their time with family fun.
We are excited to start preparing for the 2024-2025 season and can't wait to get started in the fall.
I am sure many of you know me, however I would like to introduce myself as the U9 Aeros BB/MD Tier 1 Head Coach for the 2024-2025 season. My name is Reid Verhaverbeke, and I have been around hockey in London and the surrounding area, at various levels both playing/coaching over the past 30+ years. As assistant coach with the U8 BB/MD Aeros and the U18 BB/MD teams last year, I was able to experience a memorable season full of success. We were the second ranked team in the 2023-2024 Ontario U18 A/BB rankings and were able to capture the U18 (NBC) Alliance Championship.
I have strong ties to Oakridge Hockey, as I started my hockey journey in the program. I credit my experiences as a youth hockey player as some of the most important contributions to my love for the game of hockey.
I am excited and honoured to have the opportunity to assist players in generating the same passion and love for the game in this up and coming 2024-2025 season.
The team will be practicing twice a week and the coaching staff will be offering a variety of different training opportunities for the players to focus on their development throughout the season. Our goal is to offer a FUN and competitive hockey program with the idea of balancing team growth/success with individual development.
We are registered for 4 tournaments this season, with two of those being travel events.

Jan 17-19- The U9 Full Ice Championship (Bell River District Minor Hockey Association)
Feb 7-9 - Niagara Falls U9 Winter Breakaway Challenge 2025 (Niagara Falls)
Feb 21-23 - Boston Pizza Cup (St. Thomas)
Looking forward to hitting the ice this September for tryouts and getting to work as a group. Tryout dates and times will be posted on our team page.
