The Atom MD Aeros capped of a fantasti
c season where they accomplished many great things together by winning the Alliance Hockey Atom Tier 2 Championships this weekend in London.
The boys grew so much as both players and people over course of this season. This group of players played at various levels in their previous seasons and throughout this season developed their hockey skills as well as learning to give their best effort, play as a team and to bring a great attitude in both practices and games. We were fortunate to have played against strong competition all season, and the boys saw firsthand what it took to become a successful team in these games along with being developed in practices by our dedicated group of parent and non-parent coaches as well as other special guests. At the potential expense of Wins we focused on playing an East/West game with an emphasis on puck possession, pressure and making good plays with the puck.
We are proud that these boys achieved several milestones for the 2008 Oakridge age group in addition to finishing the season as Champions. Continue to bring your best efforts in all you endeavour and you will be proud of the results, always remember that
'Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard'.
