Final Roster Sept. 17 2017
Hi Parents.
I must say that all the boys have put forth an
excellent effort at the tryouts so far. I’m very pleased with the way they have
been practicing and conducting themselves both on and off the ice. I’m quite
optimistic about our prospects for the upcoming season.
I have decided that we are going to go with a 17 man roster
this season. Below please see the final roster for the Oakridge Aero Minor
Peewee Team for 2017/2018 season. Go Aeros!
Parent Meeting:
I would like to have a mandatory parent meeting following the exhibition game vs North on Monday Sept 18th at Medway. I’m going to try to secure the upstairs room at the Arena for the meeting which we will hold immediately follow the game. If that’s not going to be possible I’ll have to make other arrangements. I’ll keep you posted. There is quite a bit to cover but one of the main points, which I would like to touch on now is the team fees.
Team Fees:
There is no way around it. Competitive Hockey is expensive and keeping in line with what our team expenses will be for the season we will be setting the team fee at $800.00 per player. The main cost to the team obviously is tournament entry fees and the one extra practice ice-time per week which we must pay for.
Sponsors:
I would strongly urge everyone to try to secure a sponsor. For example if you can get a sponsor for $250.00, that amount will come off-of your team fee, thereby making it $550.00. I have an official sponsorship form, which must be filled out by the sponsoring party that I will email out to everyone, and bring to practice Friday night.
