Bob Stark Classic Major Novice Champs
While registering for our tournaments back in the summer the Oakridge Bob Stark Classic was THE one I wanted to win.
As a family, this was our 4th and final time participating in the Bob Stark Classic. It has been and probably always will be my favourite minor hockey tournament.
We started the tourney off with a 2-0 win vs Woodstock on Friday night followed by a 7-0 win vs Cambridge on Saturday afternoon and 4-0 win vs Hamilton Saturday night.
Sunday afternoon brought a rematch with Hamilton in the championship game. Hamilton came out much stronger and pushed us right to the end but we were able to hold them off for a 3-2 win and the Bob Stark Classic title.
Undefeated in Niagara Falls and our home Oakridge tournament in back to back weekends. I'm really not sure how we top our November everyone but we're certainly going to try.
Enjoy this one boys as it's not every day you get to be champions. We are very proud of the TEAM you are becoming. Let's get back to work on Tuesday as we have huge games this weekend vs West & Sarnia.
Thanks again to our amazing tournament convenor Pat Caron and the awesome Oakridge Arena staff (sorry again for the mess yesterday fellas).
