2015-16 Novice MD1 Team Information
Welcome to the 2015-16 Oakridge Aeros Novice MD1 competitive team!
Our team consists of the top 13 skaters & 2 goaltenders from the Oakridge 2007 age group.
- Cost – In addition to the regular hockey registration & the competitive surcharge which was paid at the time of registration, approx. $700 in other team costs (tournaments, TAG hockey development, exhibition games, etc.) can be expected (team ware not included). This includes a minimal amount of fundraising. Further reduction in team fees will be determined by amount of fundraising by the team.
- Travel – We will be playing approximately 30 games including teams from London (West, North & Bandits), Sarnia & Stratford. As well, we will be participating in 4 tournaments:

- Holiday Games – League games are scheduled during Thanksgiving, Christmas, March Break & Easter. Playoffs begin in February & go through to April, including MARCH BREAK. Please do not book vacations during this time period.
- Fundraising – All team families are required to participate in fundraising activities throughout the season to assist with reducing the “team budget” cost per family. This includes taking on responsibilities & participating in the annual Oakridge Bob Stark tournament Nov 13-15 which raises money for the Novice MD1 & MD3 teams. Each family will also be responsible in securing at least 1 sponsor for the team banner. The group will decide on any further fund raising efforts.
