After squeaking into the Semis by a 1 goal differential, the Aeros dominated their early Sunday morning start by winning handily 4-0 over the visiting Oakville Hornets.  Aeros were solid from start to finish and Koop was sharp to earn the shutout.
This win gave the Aeros a birth into the Finals against the undefeated West 33 team.  This was an epic battle from the opening whistle, back and forth with West never letting the Aeros run away with it.  The Aeros were able to hold onto a 6-5 win with the West goal empty and a surge right to the end.
Boys....coaches are super proud of you!!!  Way to go.

Well, bear with me on this game report as I was not there and was filled in by a few excited parents.....sounds like this epic battle against the tough West team went down to the buzzer.  A goal from Sharman got the Aeros rolling until West notched it up in the third period.  It was late when Foster broke away and made some nifty dekes to get loose and put the Aeros ahead 2-1.  Even with the Hawks goalie pulled and the Aeros with a guy in the box, they escaped a flurry of pressure down to the end with a well-deserved 2-1 victory!!!  Some great play and solid hard work earned Murray the Player of the Game nod.
Thanks for winning this one guys for the absent coach :D

The Aeros opened the round robin playoffs against the #1 seeded Bandits squad today at Nichols.  Solid defence throughout the game along with shadowing of their top 2 players enabled the Aeros to keep pace through the entire game.  A late goal by Miller put the Aeros up 1-0.  Unfortunately, a late whistle during a scramble in front of Koop allowed the Bandits to bang in a goal to tie it up with 3 mins to play.  The game ended in a 1-1 tie and the Aeros coaches were very pleased with everyone's play....especially the gritty defensive work of Wynder which earned him Player of the Game.  Great Job Aeros!!!!

Well, not sure what can be said about today's game....the Aeros kept it close for the first half of the game before the Bandit's star player broke the game open with a couple 3rd period goals.  The Aeros will definitely see this team again and will need to do a better job of shadowing this guy if they want a different result next time.
Some gritty & tough play on the puck by Boult, earned him Player of the Game!!!!
