Oakridge 33, 2012-2013, U10-U11 Teams (Oakridge Aeros Minor Hockey)

The boys have been playing really good the past few games.  The coaches are very happy to see the momentum of the Oakridge Classic carry forward. Some great work by the forwards on the back check during the game, this really took away a few nice rushes by the other team.  Congrats to Mike on earning the gold jersey with a goal and some extra hustle. Lets continue to work on the START of games, we have to be ready when that puck drops, move those feet and be first to the puck. The back end of the season coming up in March, lets finish this season off in style Coach Darcy

A barnburner game tonight boys.  Coaches liked the comeback in the third period.  The coaches were proud of you not giving up.  We need to be ready to play when we step onto the ice.  Remember that feeling of scoring a few goals in a row, that's the feeling that you want keep when playing.   Defensive coverage was solid, but we want to keep an eye on the player in front.  Forwards need to assist a bit more in our own end and keep the battles going.  The pressure works and keep those feet movin'  Congrats to Sam G for the hard work and earning that gold jersey.

Congrats to the boys on winning their second in a row.  They did an excellent job on defence, having themselves in position, and making a few passes here and there.  Our pressure play was rewarded with some goals.  Lets keep up the hard work!!

The boys played hard at the game yesterday, we had lots of shots and lots of pressure.  We need to make a few more passes and we will see the rewards.  Practice was excellent today, I threw a few new drills at you guys and for the most part there was good results.  Lets keep working and moving those feet.

Congrats to the boys on their first win of the season.  Well Done.  There was lots of hard work, great skating across the board.  The reward showed on the scoreboard with 6 different goal scorers.  Andy with some top notch saves.  Chris is our first golden moment winner of the season.  Looking forward to the next game!
