Changes for 2026-27 Season - Spring Prep and Tryouts
Oakridge Aeros Hockey Association is a member of the Greater London Hockey Association (GLHA) and the Minor Hockey Alliance of Ontario. As such we will be participating in Spring Prep and Tryouts for all ages from U8 through to U16 for 2026-27 Season.
Although Open Boarders and Spring Tryouts are not new to Oakridge for U10 to U16 ages, this is the first year that U8 and U9 are being included.
Prep Skates are optional and will occur for U8 & U9 and will be run by GLHA in conjunction with each player’s home association, U10-U16 is being offered via London Junior Mustangs . The prep phase is only for players registered within the GLHA member partners during the 2025-26 season.
Prep skates are designed to help prepare players for the upcoming MD evaluations in a structured and supportive environment. The drills are designed for general player skills, not goalie-specific skills. Evaluations for MD tryouts are NOT part of this process. They will be run by independent evaluators.
U8-U9 Prep skates – Spaces are limited at 30 players per age group. Cost is $80 per player and registration will be via SPORDLE effective March 9 @ 7am and set to close by March 29. No refunds for any missed days will occur. Payment must be made via credit card. If spots fill up, a wait list will be activated and we will communicate by April 1 if a spot becomes available.

2026 Spring Tryouts – complete details will be communicated separately for all ages.
- U8 MD and U9 MD will begin April 13th through to April 19th.
- U10 BB to U16 BB is expected approximately, May 2 through to May 15th
- Exact schedules for all will be published shortly.
- Cost is $65, registration is set to open April 1
