Spring Tryout & Prep Skate Information for the 2025-26 Season for U10B/BB through to U16B/BB (no fall tryouts for these ages) - U8MD, U9MD and U18B/BB will be in Fall 2025
 Tryout Registration for the Oakridge Aeros will open on April 14, 2025. Read through the information below before registering.

Spring Tryout registration will be completed through the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR - Spordle) for the following teams, U16 BB(2010), U15BB(2011), U14BB(2012), U13BB(2013), U12BB(2014), U11BB(2015) and U10BB(2016)

Registration in this association is accepted by the recognized GLHA boundaries for BB Representative Hockey

Oakridge Aeros boundaries - Riverside to the north side of Wharncliffe Road to Western Road to Medway creek. Follow the west side of the creek north out of the city.  Any questions, please reach out and we are happy to confirm residency for participation in BB programming.

The tryout fee is $65.00 and must be paid prior to skating. Players will NOT be allowed on the ice until they complete registration through HCR.
 
Tryouts begin on Saturday, May 10 thru to May 14, 2025.  Registration will remain open until this date for late releases from London Junior Mustangs. 

Your player does not need to participate in B/BB tryouts to be eligible to play House League Select in the 2025-2026 season. However, if you want to try B/BB hockey, now is the time, we won’t be adding any more B/BB teams in the fall.

Only U18 B/BB and U8 & U9 MD tryouts will run in the fall.

Prep Phase Skates

Oakridge Aeros will be offering Prep Phase Skates May 4, 5, 7 & 8.  for RETURNING Oakridge Aeros players and who are attending Oakridge Aeros tryouts in U10B/BB to U16B/BB.  A returning player is someone who lives in Oakridge territory and  played within GLHA in 2024-2025 season.

You can register for prep skates when you complete tryout registration; however, spots are LIMITED.   These skates are OPTIONAL and are NOT part of the evaluation process. Your player is NOT required to attend these sessions.

The cost of prep skates is $80 for four sessions and will be run by instructors from various local hockey schools in our area.  These skates will be grouped as follows:  (U10 and U11), (U12 and U13), (U14, U15 and U16). 

These sessions will be Rob Drummond (RD Hockey), Snipe Academy and Paul McLean (PMC Skating) will lead the sessions.   A schedule will posted soon.

Fall Tryouts & Evaluations

Evaluations for U18BB (2008/2009), U9MD(2017), and U8MD (2018) will occur in September, 2025. Registration for these tryouts will open on June 1, 2025.
