Oakridge Aeros Hockey 2020-21 Season Recap
Submitted By MD Director on Friday, April 9, 2021
Our Board, Coaches and Volunteers worked extremely hard this season to get and keep our kids on the ice in a fun and safe manner.

We provided value to our families by getting kids on the ice this season for less than $15 per child per icetime.

On behalf of the Oakridge Minor Hockey,  I would like to thank our families, players, conveners and coaches for their commitment to our program in the 2020-2021 season.

Although it was not “hockey” as we know it every weekend or evening, I believe it was a valuable outlet for our players to have some fun at the rinks with their friends and see them in person.

Thank you again to our families, players and conveners for all of the pivoting required to run a hockey program in a pandemic.  The colours, restrictions and contact tracing were all obstacles in our way and yet our players still got to participate in some programming for the sport they love.

We are hoping to see a return to normal season this fall as we are planning for tryouts and development skates to start in September (after Labour Day).  Planning for the 2021-2022 season will start shortly and we will communicate as we move forward this year.

We are wishing you a safe, healthy and active summer and thank you again for all your co-operation this season!

Darcy Goettling
President
