2017-2018 Bantam - Oakridge A8 - Oakridge A8 - North London Blue and White Finalists!
Submitted By Webmaster on Sunday, November 19, 2017
The coaches of Bantam A8 congratulate the entire team with their effort this weekend during the North London Blue and White (Nov 17-19).

Game 1 was a hard fought back and forth game with Richmond Hill that resulted in a 2-2 draw.  Saturday had us playing two games.  Game 2 pitted us again a superb Barrie Colt team.  A couple of power play goals each and stellar goal tending resulted in a 1-1 draw.  Game 3, Oakridge A8 was faced with a win to secure moving on in the tournament with only 2 points on the board.  The team responded with one of their better efforts on the season.  The result was 4-1 for the Aeros and rewarded the top seed in their pool.

In the semi-final-Game 4, Oakridge A8 had a rematch with Richmond Hill from game 1.  The players played with a tonne of pressure on their opponents and were rewarded for their hard work.  The final score was 3-0 for the team in red!

It was a quick turn around for the final game and Game 5 for this group from Oakridge.  The game was the last on the schedule for the entire tournament and the two teams did not disappoint.  While the Oakridge A8 was turning in some of their best hockey for the season, Barrie Colts was doing the same.  The game between these two teams was fast, high quality and a maximum effort was  displayed by all.  Barrie snuck out with the 1-0 win to take home gold.

Congrats to Oakridge A8 on their weekend!
