Silver Stick Champions
A complete team effort from the goal out propelled the Oakridge Peewee MD team to the 2014-15 Silver Stick regional championship this past weekend in Chatham.  

 

After going 2-1 in round-robin play the team cruised into the semi-finals against the unbeaten Grimsby Peach Kings from Pool A and won 6-0 to secure their spot in the finals against league rival North London.

 

In the Championship Final, the game was tied 2-2 after the second period but eventually “Oakridge Hockey” proved to be too much and the team rode an early third period goal to an eventual 5-2 victory.

 

The entire coaching staff is extremely proud of the continued improvement and dedication this team has shown from the beginning of the year.

 

Once again, Congratulations on the tournament victory and let’s get ready for the International Silver Stick Finals in January!!
