2020/2021 IP Season update
There have been several questions about the upcoming hockey
season for the Initiation Program (U7).
We are working to finalize the first phase of our 2020-2021 season.
We will be beginning our skates on Saturday October 17th.
Your coach’s will be touching base to let you know what time your player will be skating Additional information about phase II (January – March) will be posted when available. The first phase will include one ice time per week. The start date is October 17 and phase I is set to conclude on December 19. Skates will be on Saturday mornings. There will be no assessments this year. There is no IP Development session this year (the old Tuesday night skate). During phase I players will generally be grouped by year of birth with exceptions based on the number of players at each age group. Exceptions will also be made in some cases based on the experience level of your hockey player. During phase I there will be approximately 20 hockey players on the ice. Five coaches will be allowed on the ice. Parents/guardian viewing will be restricted but it is possible that one parent/guardian will be permitted to stay and watch in designated areas. On Ice Help: Thank you to all of those who have helped in the past! Without your support and time the program would not be possible. As stated, five coaches are allowed on the ice. Please let us know if you can help again this season. Coaches are required to wear masks when on the ice. Thank you for your patience during this unprecedented time.
Sincerely,
Convenor Mike Grimbleby,
Convenor Chris Rodney,
Convenor Sean Sussex,
