With only 9 skaters and a goalie, we held our own with a scoreless first period. The North Middlesex Stars scored in the second to take the lead, but it wasn’t until the third period when the fatigue of our Aeros was evident. With another Stars goal, persistence trumped fatigue when we scored a goal, quashing the Stars’ hope of a shutout. With just over 3 minutes left in the game, and on a power play, Coach Brent took a chance and pulled our goalie, giving us a 6 on 4 advantage. We tried so hard, but an empty netter by the Stars sealed our fate. 3-1 was the final.
