Hespeler Classic Champions!
The Minor Midget Oakridge Aeros 39 are 2019 Champions of the Hespeler Classic. Winning all 5 games they played, the Aeros faced the Rayside Tigercats in the final.
The game was tied 1-1 after regulation and the Aeros had to play 3 minute sudden death overtimes, starting with 4on4, 3on3, 2on2, and finally winning it in dramatic fashion in the 1on1. A very tired team brought home the cup to be displayed at Oakridge Arena.
Very Proud of our Players, not only for how hard they played but for how well they carried themselves and represented Oakridge Hockey. Thank you all for a great weekend.
