Red Aeros 21 Split Pair of Weekend Tilts (Nov. 18)
It was an up and down two days for the Red Aero 21 squad as they split a pair of weekend tilts versus the North London Nationals and the West London Hawks respectively. On Friday night the team travelled to Stronach Arena to take on the North London Nationals and deserved better than a 4-1 loss. The kids were really hustling and actually outplayed North but just couldn't put the puck in the net.

"Cool Hands" Luke Smallwood had a particularly strong game for the Aeros as he cleared the puck out of his zone on several occasions which led to some great scoring opportunities for the team.
On Saturday the Aeros fell behind 2-0 early to the West London Hawks but stormed back and slipped 12 unanswered past a beleaguered Hawks net minder. Lucas "Wheels" Caruso had his best game of the year as he skated down several West players to make some scintillating defensive plays. Jaymee Pittaro also put in a stellar performance as she lugged the puck all over the ice and scored a couple of pretty goals. Grant Bishop provided some solid goaltending for the Aeros as well as he backstopped them in both games.
Al in all it was a great couple of games for the Red Aeros who are on the road again next Saturday as they take on the first place North London National 21 squad at Carling Arena. Puck drops at 11:00 am.
