The Seeded Peewee Oakridge Aeros captured the Detroit Motown Classic championship.
The boys traveled to Detroit this past weekend and captured the championship through tremendous courage despite having suspensions and some injuries. the team played the Toronto Penguins and won 5-0, the USA eagles and tied 3-3, the Markham Waxers and won 2-1, Georgetown in an exciting OT game 4-3,and Orchard lake where the kids played there strongest game of the year 6-0. All players played excellent from the goalies, defence and forwards. Jordan Pare was the top point getter, and Ezra Janssens took home mvp honors. Prior to the finals the team truly came together and showed what being a team was all about and it showed on the ice. It was truly a pleasure to be part of and great to see the boys capture there 2nd tournament championship of the year. Lets continue this through our regular season. A great job done by all and a great memory.Coach Wayne
