Welcome to the Oakridge Aeros Midget MD competitive tryouts for the 2015- 2016 season.
Our team will consist of 17 skaters & 2 goaltenders from the 1998 and 1999 age group. Players will be evaluated on their hockey skills & skating, game performance, teamwork & compete level. 3rd party evaluators will also take part in the tryout process. / 1999/and
All players will have a fair & equal opportunity to be a part of this team. Please let me know ASAP if your child is trying out for a specific position (other than goalie).

On the Release dates, you will be advised via our team website if your player is to continue with the Midget Competitive Tryouts. Note each player is guaranteed the first & second tryout only. Players who are released will need to check the House league web site to determine their HL assessment date and time
In advance of team selection, please be aware of the commitment required to play on the Midget Competitive Team:
- Cost – In addition to the regular hockey registration & the competitive surcharge which was paid at the time of registration, approx. $200 in other team costs (tournaments, exhibition games, etc.) can be expected (team ware not included). I will leave it up to the team to decide on whether we will do fund raising or not. Extra teams costs will be adjusted accordingly. Once we have decided on the number of tournaments as well as fund raising, that will determine how much team fee's will be. My best guess I would hope to keep it relatively low but high enuf that we never have to asked u for money against throughout the year.

Travel – We will be playing approximately 30 games including teams from London (West, North & Bandits). I am not sure about Sarnia and Stratford as this depends on kids registered. As well, we will be participating in 3-4 tournaments. This is completely subject to the team. If the team wants to participate in only local and/or away tournaments

Holiday Games – League games are scheduled during Thanksgiving, Christmas, March Break & Easter. Playoffs begin in February & go through to April, including MARCH BREAK. Please do not book vacations during this time period. IF YOU PLAN TO BE AWAY DURING MARCH BREAK, YOU HAVE TO LET ME KNOW BEFORE TRYOUTS. IT IS CRITICAL AS THERE IS PLAYOFF HOCKEY SCHEDULED DURING THIS PERIOD OF TIME AND IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT WE HAVE THE MAJORITY OF OUR TEAM AVAILABLE TO PLAY DURING THIS BREAK.
- Other team sports AND work committments: Yes, I understand about High School sports, injuries, and work committments ... as long as we communicate and work together ... we are good ... we will try to be as fair as possible. This the primary reason we carry the maximum number of kids on the team as their is a lot of committments outside of hockey
