Just thought I would add this link to the site. I know things get busy and it is hard to schedule in a proper meal at the proper time before practice or a game. Some food are better than others and it is important to eat early enough that the food is properly digested so that it can be used as energy and not have a negative affect on the players performance. One of the key pieces of info from the following link, the player should have eaten 3-4 hours before the game. If he/she gets hungry after that, a small snack and water one hour before.
