Red Aeros 21 Head Into Break at 500 (Dec. 16)
The Oakridge Red Aeros 21 dropped a close one to the North London Nationals on Saturday morning and head into the Christmas break with a solid 5-5 record. The kids got off to a great start in Saturday's game and jumped out to an early 3-1 lead but the Nationals, who have yet to lose a game this season, chipped away at the lead and despite some heroic goaltending efforts by the "Brick Wall" Grant Bishop, the Nationals scored 4 unanswered to squeak out a win.
Other notable performances were turned in be Jaymee "The PittBull" Pittaro, who was a real force out there for the Red Aeros. Jaymee was skating miles for the Red Aeros and scored a nice goal for the team. Kamron "Crazy Legs" Sadaat was also back in the line up after missing a couple of games and was instrumental in setting up the Aeros 3rd goal.
The team now has a couple of weeks off from game action, although they do have a couple practices and will be fine-tuning their game in anticipation of a great second half of the season.
