TOP IT OFF WITH A TROPHY!
ENDING THE SEASON AS TOURNAMENT CHAMPS!
The Aeros MD1 team put it all together over the weekend of April 5-7th in the Pickering Panthers A/AE Year-End tournament, resulting in a trophy as tournament champs.
The MD1 team worked well as a team and had solid goaltending from both Jillian and Matthew. The team allowed only 7 goals against while piling up an awesome 36 goals for, resulting in a perfect record of 5 wins / 0 losses.
The final against a determined team from Nobelton/King City, who kept the game close up into the 3rd period, ended in an Aeros 6-2 win.
Along with the tournament win, we also had a great year-end team party. Special thanks to Coach Peach, and his assistants: Coach Hicks, Coach Schnare, Coach Duncan, and Coach Kyle. Thanks also to the work of all parent volunteers including Victoria, Gary and Jan, Dave and Emily, and Rob and Kelly, and of course to all or our awesome cheer leaders (parents, grandparents, and others).
Thank you MD1 players for some exciting hockey this past year, and all the best next year with whichever team you end up on.
